Currently, we are looking for a strong Perl Developer for our Minsk office to make the team even stronger.

As a Perl Developer, you will be working on one of the largest EPAM accounts building and supporting the solution used by thousands of banking and legal specialists all around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Develop new functionality
  • Communicate with the customer on a regular basis
  • Support and refactor the current solution
  • Reconcile code as necessary from performance perspective
  • Perform constantly unit and integration tests to ensure the best possible quality of the application
  • Work both independently and in close collaboration with others in the team and across the business
  • Conduct code reviews
  • Create functional specifications

Requirements

  • Solid Perl knowledge: 3-4 years within production projects
  • Clear understanding of what is interpolation in Perl, and how to use it
  • Understanding of a module search order for Perl
  • Variable blessing (Perl classes)
  • Perl multithreading and variable sharing in multithreaded scripts
  • Regular expressions proficiency: knowledge of backtracking, greediness, recursive RE
  • Understanding of the difference among glob, my, local
  • Module creation experience
  • Experience with the CPAN database
  • XML or JSON experience
  • Good command of English: Intermediate (B1) and higher level
  • Good communication skills
