QA Automation Engineer with Java

Currently we are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with Java for our Krakow office to make the team even stronger.

- Dedicated individual who is ready to implement new testing frameworks from the scratch, but also the one who can quickly create required manual testing artifacts and execute them;
- Ideally – Senior Automation Engineer/SDET with manual testing background.


  • Perform "full stack" of testing service:
    • Project assessment in terms of understanding its business logic, analyzing requirements
    • Understanding and justification projects' testing needs: what kind of testing is needed, how often, prioritizing
    • Creation of testing artifacts required: test cases, checklists, etc
    • Implementation of automation tests: end-to-end integration tests, component-level (API) tests, unit-level tests. Treating application like a white-box
    • Setting up CI
    • Providing session of manual testing when needed
    • Coverage by tests of bugs and defects found during SDLC
  • Work on justifying and implementation of common testing strategy: investigation and justifying approaches, tools, best practices, proposals to developers in terms of making the application more testable
  • Communicate with other test engineers, developers, management, customers

    • Proven successful experience in creation automation frameworks from the scratch is a must
    • Proven ability to understand the ones code
  • Technical skills:
    • Programming languages: Java
    • Testing frameworks: JUnit, TestNG, others
    • Build tools: Maven, Ant, others
    • Version Control Systems: Git, SVN, others
    • Perfect knowledge of automation tools: Selenium WebDriver or its wrappers; experience in front- and back-end testing, API testing, writing end-to-end tests and unit-tests
    • Strong knowledge of code design patterns, best practices
    • Strong knowledge of testing terminology, understanding of testing pyramid
    • Knowledge of setting Continuous Integration

Nice to have

  • Readiness to possible manual test activities
  • Good knowledge of English
  • Any certificates (Oracle, ISTQB) are appreciated
