DESCRIPTION


Currently we are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer in Bangalore to make the team even stronger.

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for build and deployment processes, incident management, and operational excellence of the Marketplace Fares team. Your primary responsibility as a Senior DevOps Engineer is to work with product and engineering teams to streamline the build, deployment, on-call, and escalation management processes. You have excellent analytical, debugging, problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. You must raise the bar for operational excellence and build components that are conducive for hands-free operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement fully automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Monitor, debug, and enhance pipelines for optimal operation and performance
  • Troubleshoot, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve a majority of the production issues
  • Handle escalation management of production issues
  • Provide quick, reliable, and easy to interpret script results and dashboard reports to raise awareness of operational overhead
  • Setup development, staging, demo, and production environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to improve the overall team velocity

Requirements

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent with 8+ years of experience
  • Experience with designing and implementing fully automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Good programming, SQL, and scripting skills
  • Experience with a variety of logging/system dashboard tools
  • Hands-on experience with managing deployments to production systems
  • Experience with on-call responsibilities and address production issues and incidents
  • Experience with escalation management for production outages

Nice to have

  • Production experience with managing deployments and on-call responsibilities for web-services supporting 5K+ QPS, 10K+ Events per second, $1B+ in transactions, and systems process 10TB+ data
  • Coding experience in Golang and Java
  • Strong desire to deliver an exceptional customer experience
  • Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working with an offshore team
  • Experience defining and measuring KPIs for operational excellence
