We are looking to appoint an Associate Manager, People Partner to lead the Human Resources activities of our Italian business. The position will support two legal entities in Milano and play a key role in driving our ambitious growth in Italy through people programs, processes, policies and practices that will enable EPAM to attract, on-board, develop, engage, and retain talent in a highly competitive market. We are searching for a smart, ambitious, competent, confident and hard-working professional who already proved himself/herself in a demanding role and had personal exposure to various aspects of HR/People management including business partnering, HR Services and Operations. The position reports to the Director, Head of People Switzerland and Italy.

In order to succeed in the role you need to possess a strong HR skillset and be comfortable working self efficiently and collaborating daily with senior stakeholders and diverse, multicultural group of professionals.

  • Manage all HR relevant aspects of two legal entities in Italy
  • Build a close and trusted relationship with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Help managers effectively lead their teams including the provision of feedback, supporting their development, assessing promotions and reviewing compensation
  • Develop and maintain close and positive relationships with employees. Facilitate an ongoing dialogue, invite their input and feedback, conduct surveys, analyse feedback from various sources, and support implement actions that can enhance employee engagement and retention
  • Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team and collaborate in identifying, selecting and hiring the right people
  • Help build and strengthen EPAM’s brand and ability to attract the right talent in the local market
  • Manage HR processes effectively; ensure on-boarding and adaptation, training and development, feedback, performance management, international mobility and relocations, HR administration and reporting, payroll coordination, exits, employee relations, reward, recognition are taken good care of
  • Efficiently manage and document HR processes and decisions leveraging the firm’s people management tools and technologies. Ensure that all workforce changes are properly administered from initial contract set up (Italian Labour Law) to managing exits, transfers or relocations
  • Develop, implement, manage and continuously improve HR processes and practices. Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement and drive positive change. Ensure their local relevance, effectiveness, and compliance. Ensure proper documentation is in place
  • Provide advice and guidance on HR & Local Labour law related challenges and opportunities
  • Work with the Global Mobility (GM) team on relocations and international assignments and support people relocating to Italy from other locations. Provide guidance, advice and practical assistance (i.e. cultural orientation, medical, tax, insurance, social security matters, accommodation)
  • Contribute in the Regional People Team community
  • The role is based in Milano and may involve travel in Milan area and occasionally to Zurich office


  • Professional education in Human Resources management
  • Experience in self-managing work environment without day-to-day supervision
  • Experience in working in the technology sector or a similar, progressive industry is an advantage
  • Proven track record of working directly with senior leaders and managers
  • Solid knowledge of Italian employment practices and regulations, and Italy Labour law
  • Solid knowledge in HR administration and payroll coordination with external payroll provider
  • Fluency in Italian with a strong command of written and spoken English
