We are looking for aTechnical Lead (a mixture of DevLead and Solution Architect) to work for one of the key EPAM’s customer from the Oil&Gas industry (city of Atyrau, Kazakhstan).


The company explores, develops, produces, and markets crude oil, liquid petroleum gas, dry gas, and sulfur in Kazakhstan.


The project makes the use of cutting-edge technologies based on international standards. Working schedule: 4 weeks on-site, 2 weeks offsite. The full workload for at least 1+ year.

What You’ll Do

  • Guide the project technical vision:
    • figure out the technical requirements and constraints of any given project
    • understand and define the end goals
  • Analyze risks and cross-functional requirements
  • Achieve the project’s goals by developing a software engineering methodology, choosing the technical stack, defining software architecture, determining non-functional requirements and service level indicators, as well as internal milestones and rollout schedule
  • Understand the software engineering and development processes to be able to come up with reasonable engineering decisions
  • Manage the team: resolve conflicts, and guidethe team members by showing a clear direction
  • Bridge communication between stakeholders and the team

What You Have

  • Experience designing and implementing largescale systems
  • Proven ability to communicate complex technical ideas in a straightforward and compelling way
  • Experienced in leading cross functional teams, building alignment and leading selection of technologies/ solutions while building business case to support that
  • Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
  • Strong writing and documentation skills
  • Experience in Cloud-based Architectures and integration, Software modernization/migration, SOA/Microservices Architecture
  • Strong .NET skills, JS, MS SQL
  • Strong experience in Code review automating Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery and Agile practices
