We are looking for a Systems Architect with extensive knowledge in implementation infrastructure solutions and systems integration hands-on experience to help with the development and turnkey integrations of a hybrid OTT video platform.

So, we are focusing on Systems Architects who are willing to join in a challenging project.

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable and cloud-agnostic solution for a video platform that can run in public clouds and on-prem datacentres
  • Visualize the architecture and document the solution using architecture styles, patterns and frameworks
  • Work with key stakeholders and application owners to identify the requirements and business needs and translate them into clear technical solutions ready for handling to developers and systems engineers
  • Conduct presentations and solution review sessions with peers
  • Present solutions to CxO level
  • Lead the implementation, oversee the development and provide technical guidance and help to the engineering teams
  • Take a leadership role in the delivery activities, such as production deployments end-to-end integrations and handover to operations
  • Participate in systems troubleshooting and problem-solving sessions across applications
  • Drive best practices in DevOps, advocate IaC and CM principles
  • Contribute to the project codebase, create PoCs
  • Make decisions, justify them, take ownership and responsibility for the solution

Requirements

  • Strong experience in systems engineering:
    • Advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems
    • Expertise in automation of systems and application deployments using IaC and SCM tools such as Terraform and Ansible
    • Professional level in network domains: routing and switching/data center/cloud/security/service provider
    • Storages, SANs and database management systems
    • Expertise in delivering solutions using cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure
    • Experience in building highly available, scalable and redundant (including geo-redundancy) solutions
  • Expertise in global traffic management, load-balancing and CDN solutions
  • Understanding of SDLC and CI/CD concepts and tools
  • Experience in building monitoring solutions
  • Expertise in architecting, documenting and presenting solutions
  • Experience in working in large distributed teams
  • Optional development background:
    • Scripting in Bash/Python/Groovy/Go
    • Design, implementation and testing of API integrations using REST/SOAP
    • Experience developing web services applications in Java/Python
    • Git
  • Optional domain knowledge in OTT/Media/Telecom
  • Technical skills:
    • Applications: Java microservices and monolithic apps, NodeJS, .Net, Python
    • Container orchestration: Kubernetes
    • Infrastructure: VMware, Cisco ACI, NetApp
    • DevOps: Atlassian Suite, Jenkins, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Helm
    • Automation: Terraform, Ansible
    • Databases: PostgreSQL, Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra
    • Messaging: Kafka, HiveMQ
    • Load-Balancers/Proxy: Big-IP F5 LTM, Nginx
    • Scripting: Bash, Python
    • Cloud: AWS
