The individual in this role will be accountable for the successful and timely delivery of mobile projects in the wealth management domain. You will be responsible for leading the development of a new universal native Android application for phone and tablet. You will also be responsible for the maintenance and support of the legacy hybrid and native Android applications. The current mobile wealth management application is an award-winning digital experience that allows clients to manage their portfolio, execute financial transactions, and manage personal financial plans. You will also serve as a technical expert in mobile industry-related topics to our client.

This is a lead development role that entails working within a Digital Factory environment on scrum team co-located in Weehawken. The role requires not only technical skills but also soft skills to lead communications with the client and handle business-critical situations.

What You’ll Do

  • Analyze functional requirements, design and implement solution based on SDLC
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to both client and other developers
  • Partake in technical design of application components in mobile platform
  • Code, test, and deploy application components with local and offshore developers within a Scrum team
  • Responsible for delivering high quality code that meets our KPIs
  • Work with test engineers to ensure minimum defects are introduced into QA
  • Manage mobile application releases with high level of confidence and customer obsession

What You Have

  • Bachelor's degree in either Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, debugging skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills
  • 2-4 years of hands on full stack mobile experience in develop, design, maintenance of Android mobile applications
  • General understanding of mobile industry is a must have
  • Strong knowledge of Kotlin, Java and Android / Mobile best practices
  • At least 2 or more applications released to Google Play Store, good understanding of release management
  • Solid understanding of architecture patterns: MVP, MVVM, MVC
  • Understanding of application web services (rest or soap), load balancing, distributed systems, spring boot is nice to have, since mobile applications doesn’t operate in vacuum
  • Demonstrable experience of being able to work to very tight timelines on multiple detailed activities simultaneously
  • Proactive and detail-oriented, yet comfortable working in a dynamic environment with fast paced deliveries and changing requirements
  • Highly motivated, able to work independently and apply own initiative
  • Familiarity with the following: authentication services, Firebase, unit testing, Perfecto framework, TeamCity CI, GitHub, OKHTTP, Session Management, Cookie Management, Networking, Multithreading, JavaScript, Flutter
