We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in ETL to join our team in Shenzhen.

Responsibilities

  • Full fill the role of a Key Developer and a Designer or a Team Lead to manage a team of 2-5 engineers
  • Review and understand project and requirement documentation; create and design technical documentation including high-quality documentation of your deliverables
  • Work activities include DB objects development, data validation and analyzing existing processes and procedures
  • Optimization and fine tuning of existing database views, PL/SQL stored procedures and packages
  • Plan and schedule work for tasks and projects, create good quality deliverables without direct supervision
  • Be self-managing, implement functionality without supervision and test your work thoroughly using test cases
  • Perform profiling and troubleshooting of existing solutions
  • Coordinate application deployment
  • Follow and understand defined software development processes
  • Participate in workshops and presentations of proposed solutions to clients
  • Communicate with clients on a regular basis to clarify business requirements
  • Assist team members by providing technical solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related majors
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in software engineering and designing and implementing ETL processes
  • ETL development experience using ETL tools like Informatica, Datastage etc
  • Familiar with Reporting Tools such as BusinessObject, Microstrategy
  • Strong knowledge of SQL
  • Experience in query optimization
  • Familiar with Linux shell scripting
  • Good understanding of software development lifecycle, experience in Agile Scrum process
  • Experience troubleshooting and solving complex technical problems
  • Good interpersonal skills, analytical mind, conscientious, and passion for engineering excellence
  • Willingness and ability to adapt to changes in priorities and requirements
  • Active learner who is passionate about technology and keeps up to date with technology changes
  • Good communication skills
  • Intermediate (CEFR B1) or higher level of spoken and written English

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Oracle, PL/SQL, Power Centre
  • Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, Python)
  • Knowledge banking domain
  • Experience in popular technologies in the machine learning/big data ecosystem
  • Experience in technical support: familiarity with case prioritization, SLA compliance, and quality
  • Ability to communicate with clients on a regular basis to clarify business requirements
