What You’ll Do

  • Collaboration:
    • Work as CS on interdisciplinary team of UX, Design and developers
    • Develop CS through collaboration with clients, subject-matter experts and UX/Design colleagues
    • Create and Facilitate (with supervision/support) workshops with clients to identify/develop content requirements, future-state content inventories, editorial workflows, page tables
    • Participate in contextual inquiries
    • Works closely with account management team to translate business goals and user needs into meaningful content strategy
  • Content Health:
    • Conduct content diagnostics, including accessibility and SEO audits
    • Develop content inventories, gap analyses, content mapping documentation
  • Content Design:
    • Create structured content for CMS implementers
    • Partners with UX and design to translate content strategy into interface design and functionality
    • Partners with development to design and execute content systems
    • Helps create taxonomies and metadata frameworks for grouping and tagging content
    • Develops naming conventions, instructional copy, and other interface textual elements 
  • Content Process:
    • Sets guidelines migration, translation, and health of all content, as well as creates governance documents for clients where appropriate  
    • Partners with client to enhance, edit and reformat legacy and identify new content for creation
    • Design and lead CS workshops and working sessions with clients and colleagues
  • Overall Content Strategy:
    • Create and implement ways to evangelize CS across the company
    • Active participant in CS community (meet ups, conferences etc.)

What You Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area
  • 7+ years professional experience as a content strategist 
  • Strong conceptual thinker
  • Demonstrated understanding of content strategy’s role in digital design and development process
  • Experience producing Content Strategy deliverables
  • Ability and desire to collaborate across disciplines
  • Knowledge of CMS systems and their effect on content strategy
  • Exceptional content organization skills
  • Avid follower of developments in content strategy as a discipline
  • Has experience working with a broad array of clients in multiple industry verticals
  • Has experience working within multiple channels (web content, mobile apps, video, advertising, whitepapers, interaction copy, etc.)
  • Has outstanding organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Excellent writer – including strategic documents and copywriting
  • Impeccable mastery of grammar, editing and proofreading
