We are looking for an experienced JavaScript developer, eager to be a part of a huge program! The project concerns the development of a centralized household Multimedia Hub, based on ‘Set Top Box’ device class. This Multi Media Hub provides access to a wide range of media content, including Live Broadcasting channels, Video On Demand, Replay content, Recordings, Radio channels, third-party Applications for millions of clients across Europe and UK.

What You’ll Do

  • Developing Digital TV products on top of JavaScript and Node.js
  • Providing software integration and maintenance of various components across the whole system
  • Reading and understanding CPE and UI Architecture, Product Business Requirements
  • Maintaining and proposing improvements to SW development and integration
  • Collaborating with other team members – Developers, Testers, SM – and E2E/CPE Architects, BAs, POs, Business stakeholders
  • Working in a team of 7-10 engineers, taking ownership of several functional areas of the software
  • Involving into Innovations, POCs and Architecture improvements for current and newly developed products, as additional challenging and beneficial activities, that we can propose

What You Have

  • Strong Knowledge of JavaScript Core
  • Understanding of async patterns
  • Unit testing, Unix systems user and performance optimization experience
  • Great communicational skills, holding conversations with English speaking customers, working in a distributed multicultural team (meetings, documentation review)
  • Fluent English (B1+ at least)
  • Acquainted with building processes in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Set Top Box software development and TV and Telecommunication domains experience – a plus
