This is an opportunity to join the growing European Digital Engagement Practice within EPAM which offers a unique blend of consultancy thinking and customer-centric design, powered by the engineering excellence EPAM is known for. The role will be to manage the delivery of one of EPAM clients while contributing the overall growth of our practice.

The Digital Project Director (m/f/d) will be accountable for the overall project delivery, client satisfaction and management of expectations while ensuring that the work is on strategy, on time and within budget. You will be working alongside a globally renowned and award-wining design, development and technology teams who are passionate about what they do and how they do it. To play a key role building strong business / technology relationships, taking a ‘hands on’ approach to define and deliver, embodying and driving a culture of continuous improvement.


  • Commercial experience of designing, delivering and operating digital solutions for small and large enterprises in the automotive industry, as well as, building highly performing Sitecore engineering teams
  • Ability to operate strategically at C-level while remaining capable of successfully communicating with design and technical engineering teams, in order to successfully execute against the business objectives
  • Full delivery lifecycle experience (from RFP through to operations) with responsibility for budgets in excess of £2+ and management of teams of 25+
  • Ability to design and implement agile methods (such as Scrum, Kanban, SAFe and DevOps) with a view to improve the speed and efficiency of delivery
  • Capacity to flexibly adapt to the needs of the business and scale up or down involvement within programme delivery
  • Global experience with track record of leading both nearshore and offshore delivery teams
  • Personal gravitas and natural influencer able to successfully steer the digital operating model
  • Experience of negotiating commercial agreements, establish MVPs, partner selection and "go to market' strategy while owning responsibility for the end-to-end solution. Project management covering the full project initiation and life cycle: lead management, qualification for the bid/financing, staffing, client management, delivery and execution governance
  • Running multiple delivery streams and clients, to ensure governance at top management level
  • Oversee delivery from financial, sourcing, development and business perspectives
  • Suggest innovative solutions to business problems/processes that leverage technology to provide market differentiation, efficiency improvements, and better user experiences
  • Investigate complex issues of production delivery, run the root cause analysis, establish a solution and push it through required steps necessary in order to deliver
  • Driving integrated teams to deliver solid technology solutions in support of key client initiatives
  • Co-ordinate the preparation of customer proposals and statements of work
  • Participates in new business development and discovery led projects
  • Manage customer expectations and relationship. Manage high-level client relationships, looking for opportunities to up/ cross-sell products and services through relationship management
  • Work closely with multi-disciplined teams of product owners, designers, UX researchers, architects, engineers and quality assurance to drive estimates, delivery plans and retrospectives
  • Identify and manage engagement risks and flag major issues early
  • Contribute to the development and growth of our practice
  • Mentoring of peers, including making sure that the nearshore and onsite project team undertakes their duties effectively; ability to see the big picture and not micro-manage


  • Proven experience delivering solutions for client in the automotive industry and content management solutions (CMS) such as Sitecore
  • Proven experience of managing the mobilisation and delivery of high business impact consultancy engagements where the typical outputs are: business case, roadmap, to-be architecture, backlog of initiatives and supporting creative and UX artifacts. And where the typical ways of working is highly engaged, collaborative, co-creative and workshop-led
  • Proven experience in managing integrated design and development Agile projects
  • Ability to apply a mix of business knowledge and delivery practices to projects to achieve the best results
  • Knowledge and ability to assess and propose a variety of methodology, process and technology on accounts
  • Requires the ability to establish solid working relationships with clients, plus the ability to work effectively as a virtual member of a dynamic, dispersed team and to meet deadlines. Strong PM who can bring people together (internal/external stakeholders) and foster a sense of team
  • Working experience of Jira / Azure DevOps
  • Strong experience working with distributed teams on client side
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and planning skills are necessary, experience with working with nearshore teams preferable
  • Expected to have exceptional organisation, leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, MBA or equivalent business experience preferred
  • Self-motivated, multitasking, reliable to deliver on time, a quick-thinker, be able to work in a fast-paced work environment
  • Software product experience required
