DESCRIPTION


EPAM is looking for a Mobile Solution Architect/Lead Engineer to join our rapidly growing team to work with a banking client of ours on their bank app migration project initially.
Whilst the main client office is based in Dublin and that is the preferred location, we are also open to you working remotely in London.

We are looking for someone who is technically savvy with a background in consulting, architecture and development, building client relationships, customer engagement and stakeholder management.

This a is a great opportunity to really cement the client relationship and position yourself in the centre of our EPAM and European leadership practice whilst working closely with EPAM's senior Delivery Management/SA teams. This is an important role for us where you will have a high degree of autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Development of proposals for implementation and design of Mobile Architecture with domain knowledge in Android, iOS and Mobile Development Platforms
  • End-to-end architecture design including frontend, web services, middle tier, and backend
  • Own and lead initiatives to define, design, and implement mobile solutions which includes reference architectures, estimates, and costing
  • Provide technical leadership, project guidance, and business development in various mobile technology areas
  • Advise business and technology delivery leadership on how to translate the client’s mobile business requirements into mobile technology solutions
  • Participation in customer’s workshops and provide presentations of the proposed solution
  • Perform analysis best practices and emerging concepts in mobile application, mobile devices, Operating systems, and mobile middleware platforms
  • Acts as a technical liaison between clients, service engineering teams and support
  • Define common business and development processes, platform and tools usage for mobile solutions and delivery
  • Review and audit of existing solution, design and system architecture
  • Serve as a mobile evangelist providing thought leadership, participating in conferences, authoring white papers, etc
  • Mentoring of colleagues who are moving toward Solution Architecture title; Perform profiling, troubleshooting of existing solutions; Create technical documentation

Requirements

  • Strong industry experience as a Mobile Solution Architect or Lead Engineer
  • Experience with iOS/Android Native, React Native/JS, Microservices and API management, Java
  • Strong mobile background experience - hybrid and native
  • Strong understanding of migration of enterprise, business critical, client facing apps
  • Ability to do back-end and Front-end migration strategy and roadmap
  • Strong technology comparison and selection skills
  • Financial Services experience is a plus
  • Good understanding of Agile software development life-cycle, approaches and methods
  • Strong communication skills with experience in working with internal as well as external stakeholders/technical teams
  • BS/MS in Computer Science or relevant work experience
