Currently we are looking for a Senior PHP Developer to make our team even stronger.

PHP Solutions Unit, EPAM, is seeking PHP developers to work on Business Analytics, Media, E-Commerce, Finance, Security and Education projects of internationally renowned companies. We rely on Agile methodologies, cutting edge technologies, Continuous Integration practices and keep learning from research-and-development (R&D) projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Explore and elaborate project requirements and documentation
  • Participate in a strategic and iterative planning
  • Develop, design and document web-based apps, modules and services
  • Follow, understand and streamline the established development processes
  • Set up and leverage Continuous Integration (CI) and unit testing
  • Communicate with customers (update on the task status, clarify the requirements, discuss solutions and warn of risks) orally and verbally

What You Have

  • PHP development experience of 3+ years
  • MySQL development experience, ability to build and optimize SQL queries
  • Knowledge of Linux, ability to set up and configure LAMP environment
  • Expertise in version control systems (subversion, git, or mercurial)
  • Ability to follow and build development processes
  • Conversational English (Intermediate or higher)
  • Sound knowledge of the OOP paradigm, PHP 7 (including manipulations with XML and files, sessions, cookies, exceptions and error processing) and its infrastructure, MySQL (engines, indices), SQL (syntax, table merge, grouping, aggregation, subqueries, and so on)
  • Experience in development using Zend Framework, Symfony/Silex, NoSQL databases, Sphinx, SOLR, Memcached, Redis, unit testing using PHPUnit, Jenkins or other Continuous Integration tools and in high-load systems will be an advantage
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JavaScript will be a plus
