DESCRIPTION
Do you possess strong JavaScript, HTML & CSS skills? Can you translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code? And do you have experience with any common JavaScript framework?
If so come and join EPAM in Newcastle! We can get you working with all the latest frontend languages/frameworks or get you upskilled on all of the latest technologies and onto projects as soon as possible
Responsibilities
- Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
- Create extremely well-crafted front-end web applications using Sass, Grid CSS, JSS, etc
- Produce web apps according to A11Y standards
- Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
- Suggest/implement new features and improvements
- Participate in the code review process
- Help identify, escalate, resolve any technical issues and problems that might occur
- Consult and collaborate with team members
- Write resilient code that will be continuously tested, deployed, and performed at scale
- Work closely with the UX/UI design team
- Collaborate with Business Analyst, Development Team, QA Automation Engineers
- If necessary, assist the other developers and sharing the required knowledge, mentor juniors
- Communicate closely with the team on the customer side
- Agile methodology usage - sprints planning/ daily/review/retrospective meetings
- Work as part of a global team of professionals
Requirements
- Advanced Level of CSS & HTML
- Strong skills in cross-browser layouts
- A11y & SEO experience
- Browser API skills
- Hands-on experience with Figma, Storybook, Zeplin
- Version control tools experience
- Skills of working in a cross-location team
- Experience and understanding of Agile software development principles
- Good communication skills
Nice to have
- Some experience with frameworks or libraries (React/Angular/Vue basic skills)
- Some experience with build tools and task runners
- Willingness to upskill for JS/React developer
- Design System experience
