Junior Support Engineer Description

We are looking for a Junior Support Engineer to provide support and maintenance services for level 2 end-user support from our office in Cyprus in a hybrid setup. You will be part of an existing team with double function (Operations L2 support and Testing automation of regression tests).

Responsibilities

  • Receive calls and inquiries from the end-users
  • Analyze root cause of bugs
  • Apply runbook fixes when applicable
  • Assign ticket to development team for fixes
  • Align with relevant support teams (SRP assist team, SRP operations teams, landscape teams, etc.)
  • Contribute to the quality of runbooks
  • Contribute to the incident retrospectives and landscape improvement proposals where applicable
  • Make sure that the weekly reporting is created and shared
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a support/system engineer
  • Experience in end-user support
  • SQL and scripting knowledge
  • Customer friendliness and proactiveness in finding the best solution to the problem (short and long-term)
  • Ability to quickly learn and dig into new areas
  • Experience in automation of daily routine tasks
  • Good spoken and written English
