Chief Cloud Engineer (Azure) Description
We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Chief Cloud Engineer with specialized expertise in Azure migrations to spearhead our large-scale cloud initiatives.
This leadership role will oversee the migration from an on-premises data center to Azure using the Azure VMware Solution (AVS) while enhancing overall infrastructure resilience and connectivity to additional data centers and Azure regions.

Responsibilities
- Lead and optimize AVS-based workloads, overseeing migration tasks using Azure Migrate and VMware tools (vMotion) to achieve minimal downtime
- Architect and troubleshoot network connectivity (ExpressRoute) linking on-premises and secondary cloud regions, ensuring secure and resilient traffic flow
- Implement and administer critical infrastructure services, including load balancing with F5, firewall rules, storage provisioning, and SQL database connectivity
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, collaborating with architects, network engineers, security teams, and other stakeholders
- Develop and update documentation and best practices, mentoring team members to elevate operational efficiency and project outcomes
- Strategically refine and enhance the solution design and execution strategy, staying ahead with the latest Azure and VMware technologies
Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in cloud engineering
- 2+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Expertise in handling large-scale datacenter-to-cloud migrations, with extensive experience in AVS, VMware, and Azure Migrate
- In-depth knowledge and practical experience in network configuration (ExpressRoute), virtualization (vMotion), load balancing (F5), firewalls, storage, and SQL database integration
- Proven record of effectively troubleshooting complex infrastructure challenges in high-pressure environments
- Excellent leadership and collaboration skills to efficiently manage and inspire cross-functional teams
- Advanced proficiency in English (verbal and written, B2+ level)
