Data Engineer (ETL + Python)

We are currently looking for an Data Engineer (ETL+Python) for our Minsk office, to join our innovative project and make our team stronger.

Your main task will be developing solutions able to provide a weekly forecast of shipments (12 weeks ahead) for a promoted product to a particular customer in a particular country. This position includes developing ETL data-driven solutions using Python.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data, generate mockup data
  • Analyze data sources, performing data profiling
  • Design, implement and optimize ETL/ELT strategies and processes

Requirements

  • Adequate experience with SQL (2-3 years)
  • Hands-on skill in ETL (proficiency in any ETL tool, e.g. IBM DataStage, Oracle Warehouse Builder, Oracle Data Integrator, Informatica, Pentaho, Talend, etc.)
  • Python – 1 year of project experience
  • English: at least Intermediate (B1) level; feeling more or less comfortable discussing the above-mentioned topics in English
  • Comprehensive communication skills (being able to listen to other people and clearly express your own thoughts; we work in teams and negotiate quite a lot with each other and with our customers)
  • Knowledge of any of Python ETL tools or libraries (Airflow, Spark, petl, Panoply, pandas, Bubbles, Luigi, Odo, etlalchemy, mETL, Open Semantic ETL, Mara, riko, Carry, Iocopy, etply, pygrametl) – would be nice, but not a must
