What You’ll Do
- Communicate with the customer - work directly with the Customer team, led with the experienced yet open-minded management
- Join ONE team of friendly and fun professionals: no other team knows how to have a good time as we do. We all respect each other as equals and not only get along on a work level but personal as well
- Ensure installing, configuring, and supporting of network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls (LAN, Global WAN [MPLS], multiple carriers, BGP, etc.)
- Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
- Arrange scheduled upgrades
- Investigate faults and performance issues in the network
- Take care for updates of network equipment to the latest firmware releases
- Present report of network status to key stakeholders
- Lead and coach team members, including communicating team goals and identifying areas for growth
Requirements
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with one or more of the following:
- Public or private cloud: AWS (GCP, Azure or OpenStack can be plus)
- Containers: Kubernetes (Docker, LXC, BSD Zones, etc. can be plus)
- Advanced sysadmin skills: Linux or Windows
- TCP Networking. AWS Network experience (transit gateway, direct connect, VPC, etc.) is strongly preferred
- CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification preferred
- Firewall configuration experience, ideally experience with both hardware and software-based Palo Alto firewalls and Panorama
- Experience with unassisted configuration and deployment of Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches, ISR and ASR routers, Wireless Access Points, and controllers
- Experience and good understanding of BGP, EIGRP, IPSEC VPN, routing redistribution
- Experience with monitoring tools
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good attention to detail
- Ready to take responsibility for the team outcome and the result of delivery
- Willingness to mentor less-experienced colleagues
- Desire to communicate with the customer intensely
- Intention to acquire new skills continuously
- Strong problem-solving characteristics as opposed to the narrow specialist
- Interest in long-term collaboration (1+ years)
- Clear, concise communication skills and good command of written and spoken English
Nice to have
- The following experience is considered as a big plus. However, if you do not have some of these - we are ready to train you:
- Configuration management: Ansible, Puppet, Chef or Salt Stack
- Virtualization: KVM/libvirt or HyperV
- Scripting/coding: Bash, Python, Go or Java
- Version control systems: git, Subversion or CVS etc
- CI/CD: Jenkins, GoCD, Travis, CodePipeline or Bamboo
- Team or project-leading experience
- Able to conduct technical interviews
