What You’ll Do
- Act as Lead Data Analyst on Data projects
- Lead data discovery, data assessment, data cleansing, data profiling, source to target mapping activities
- Maintain relevant documentation (e.g., data dictionary, data catalog, architecture documentation)
- Translate business needs into requirements and work with delivery team through the entire development lifecycle
- Write user stories and act as a bridge between the business and development teams
- Plan and execute elicitation/discovery activities to engage both business and IT stakeholders
- Design and drive stakeholder workshops/interviews to define and prioritize their business needs
- Work in collaboration with customer stakeholders/delivery management/solution architects/ data engineers throughout the development lifecycle
- Prototype business needs and validate prototypes with business stakeholder before sending to mass production using mock-up/prototyping/data visualization tools
- Conduct Sprint review sessions or UAT with customer stakeholders
- Prepare post-development / post-production materials to support stakeholders in increasing adoption of deliverables (e.g., trainings/training materials/marketing materials)
- Work closely with a distributed, global development project team
Requirements
- 7+ years experience in working in data domain on data and analytical projects
- 5+ years experience in working with requirements on BI / Big Data / Analytical projects
- 5+ years of experience with Relational databases, ETL and Data visualization
- Proficient with SQL, experience in data cleansing, modelling and data transformation
- Ability to translate business needs into data requirements (incl. proficiency in validating and visualizing data requirements to customer)
- Experience in a lead capacity, providing mentorship; proven track record as a Team Lead on data projects
- Strong client management skills: strong ability to interface and build relationships with high-ranking client executives and business stakeholders
- Experience in working with business and IT stakeholders, as well as end-users
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge/experience of Agile practices (i.e., Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience using JIRA or similar task management tools
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be fluent in both written and verbal English
- Experience and ability to collaborate with distributed teams and client stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience in working with data on cloud on major cloud providers (Azure, AWS, GCP)
- Familiarity of Big Data concepts (Hadoop, Spark, Databricks etc.) and non-relational DBS
- Experience with Master Data Management
- Development expertise building data visualizations using Tableau / Power BI / any modern data visualization tool
- Knowledge of the data and analytics landscape and recent trends
