Currently we are looking for an Accounting Team Leader to build and manage Accounts Payable team in Guadalajara, Mexico as a part of our global Shared Service Accounts Payable team.
Responsibilities
- Management and oversight of team members including coaching, mentoring, training and career development
- Lead recruiting, staffing, training and onboarding processes as appropriate
- Control onboarding and training of team members
- Assist with performance management processes (e.g., goal setting, performance evaluation)
- Oversee time management processes (e.g., time approval, scheduling)
- Interaction and communication with the respective business units in order to facilitate any special operating and/or reporting requirements
- Initiation and active support of regular improvement process activities with IT development team, active analysis of areas of improvement and testing of new improvements
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements
- Dealing with audit requests and participating in regular meetings with external and internal auditors
- US GAAP bookkeeping of respective AP transactions and bank payments
- Investigation of correct accounting of irregular, complex operations
- Perform review of financial master data maintenance performance
- Review period-close reports and ensure readiness for financial close
- Verify and approve journal entries as appropriate
Requirements

- Supervising experience
- Finance/Accounting background
- ACCA/DipIFR would be beneficial
- Working knowledge of SAP (advantage), other ERP systems
- Good knowledge of English (Upper Intermediate level at least)
- Good MS office skills, especially Excel skills
- Attentiveness to details
- High personal responsibility
- Ability to work in frames of agreed rules and procedures
- Ability to work and make decisions independently
