Director/Senior Director of Architecture and Technology Solutions Gothenburg, Sweden

Responsibilities

• Act as a Practice Lead and Senior Technology Leader in the implementation of Architecture solutions in the Nordics
• Drive Technology Consulting and Architecture services across Manufacturing and/or Energy sectors and possibly other industries too
• Use your experience as a hands-on technologist to demonstrate strong credibility working with engineering teams and up to CxO level both at EPAM and with our clients
• Take an active role in aligning closely with EPAM’s wider leadership teams to help shape the business/technology/strategic direction and footprint across multiple clients projects with varying degrees of maturity
• Participate in the full cycle of pre-sales/RFP activities along with wider teams to help generate new business
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams locally and across wider regions and provide
• Provide Technology Consulting services covering areas such as architectural review, audit, architectural road-mapping and technical governance across multiple projects
• Formulate and present technology business cases across architecture, technology, strategy, IT organisational change management
• Share network and knowledge both within the local/global Technology Consulting and Solution Architecture Practice
• Identify new business opportunities and build out relevant solutions

Requirements

• Industry visionary and avid technologist at heart and a senior proven leader who can lead a Technology Consulting/Architecture capability in a large consulting business
• Ideally good industry experience in Manufacturing and/or Energy with excellent understanding of major functional capabilities and common platform solutions across those sectors. We will however, consider people with other industry experience
• Proven experience acting as a hands-on Senior/Lead/Chief Architect, Director/Senior Director of Technology Consulting or CTO with a strong foundation in software engineering, platform delivery, architecture design, digital transformation and partnering with teams up to CxO level
• Strong experience in leading multi-location projects teams and delivering technology streams for large scale complex transformation projects whilst being able to help clients make the right technology choices for the ultimate success of their business
• Excellent client-facing / onsite experience with the ability to influence and guide senior management on technical solutions combined with a consultative, problem solving approach
• Thinking outside the box, driving an end-to-end initiative and engagements, understanding the complexity and relative timeframes of creating a roadmap for replacing a core capability in a global multinational organisation
• Pre-sales experience and ability to act in an advisory capacity to senior level client management and execute and lead on rapid conceptual designs, proof-of-concepts and client presentations
• Contribute to the growth of the Architecture practice within EPAM and promotion to the clients and market
• Well-versed in development of Enterprise and Solution Architecture, including governance, business drivers, technology and change management
• Deep understanding of architecture qualities such as: security, scalability, resiliency and availability in high performance low latency systems
• Experience with Microservice based Architecture, designing enterprise services or integration capabilities using REST APIs and event-driven technology as well as leveraging native Cloud services (e.g. Azure, AWS or GCP)
• Any recognitions from industry bodies with regards to relevant industry domain, technology, or delivery frameworks and methodologies (e.g. IASA Certified IT Architect, Open Group Certified Architect etc) will constitute
