As a Mid-Level Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our accounting processes. Your primary responsibilities will include checking the correctness of accounting attributes for expenditure supporting documents, making bank payments to our domestic and foreign counterparts, and performing US GAAP bookkeeping for the Company's expenditures. Additionally, you will be responsible for monthly accounting closes in SAP, liaising with local accountants, providing explanations to Senior/Lead Accountants, and participating in audit requests and meetings with auditors.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly checking the correctness of accounting attributes for expenditure supporting documents
- Handling bank payments, both domestic and foreign wire transfers, to our EPAM counterparts
- Performing US GAAP bookkeeping for the Company's expenditures across all branches, ensuring consistency with respective accounts payable and bank payments
- Conducting monthly accounting closes in SAP according to established procedures
- Collaborating with local (statutory) accountants on bookkeeping issues, when necessary
- Providing clear explanations and supporting documentation to Senior/Lead Accountants for all relevant companies, as required
- Managing audit requests and actively participating in regular meetings with both external and internal auditors
- Engaging in regular improvement process activities with the IT development team, actively analyzing areas for enhancement and testing new improvements
Requirements
- A background in finance or accounting, demonstrating your strong foundation in the field
- A minimum of 1 year of practical accounting experience, showcasing your familiarity with accounting principles
- Additional certifications such as ACCA/DipIFR would be beneficial, highlighting your commitment to professional development
- Knowledge of SAP would be advantageous, enabling you to navigate our accounting systems effectively
- A good command of English at an intermediate level or higher, allowing you to communicate effectively with English-speaking colleagues
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, to efficiently handle financial data and perform data analysis
- Exceptional attentiveness to details, ensuring accuracy and precision in your work
- A strong sense of personal responsibility, taking ownership of your tasks and delivering results
