We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join a project developed 'from scratch' by our team and fully managed within – starting business analysis and ending with a production-ready version. Our client is one of the most prominent players in the technology industry.
Within our project, we communicate directly with our stakeholders/product owners to analyze the requirements, prioritize the work and identify the best implementation approach.
Because of the vast amount of diverse projects, we provide an opportunity to dive into Google infrastructure and get hands-on experience with GCP (Pentaho, Kettle, Data prep), PLX/ Data Studio (dashboards) and BQ (Big Query). We focus on various applications, which helps to extend the knowledge base quickly and is a good starting point for getting familiar with the client's internal stack.
An ideal candidate for this role should have strong analytical skills and be a creative quick learner.

What You’ll Do
- Build data pipelines using Python
- Create visualizations
- Support the whole data pipeline successful executions: starting from raw data through structurizing data and pushing it to big query and plx dashboards
- Identify and fix potential issues with the data source (e.g., a data source is not connected/changed structure)
- Be able to identify and fix (or escalate) potential issues with the data itself
- Understand the logic behind queries concerning the business cases (and what data is essential for the business to be represented on the dashboard)
- Communicate with key stakeholders and engineering leadership to intake the knowledge for supporting the project
What You Have
- Solid experience with any SQL Query languages
- 3+ years of experience using Python
- Knowledge of ETL concepts
- Working experience with large datasets
- Experience working with many cross-functional teams
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of Google Cloud DataPrep
- Basic understanding of Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Working knowledge of the Google-specific version of Hitachi Pentaho Data Integrator (Pantheon ETL)
