Responsibilities
- Candidates will have a development parser using Java or C#
- Development of parser based on LTE protocol (ML1, LL1, RRC, RLC, MAC, PDCP, IP)
- LTE Job responsibilities include system-level feature coding, developing/executing unit test strategies and test plans, field log analysis, troubleshooting/analyzing problems
- Optimizing system performance, improving the stability of the product, optimizing power consumption, and supporting customers with product commercialization
- Candidates can expect to be responsible for coding and verifying physical layer and network protocol requirements for modem
- Excellent knowledge of 3GPP standards (GSM, UMTS, HSPA, LTE, 5G NR), 3GPP2 (1xRTT / EVDO), and/or OMA
Requirements
- Seeking a modem software engineer with excellent programming skills
- Chipset modem parser development and logging interface development
- Experience in Wireless modem logging, analysis, capturing, and understanding of modem/application processor architecture
- 6+ years of experience in Java or C# or C/C++ programming/testing
- Experience in Wireless Standards 3GPP and 3GPP2
- Strong knowledge of LTE Air Interface, PHY, MAC, RLC, RRC, and PDCP layers
- Experience in domain knowledge such as 5G NSA, LTE, CDMA, EvDO, WCDMA, GSM/EDGE, TCP/IP Strong knowledge in LTE, 5G, and network architecture specifically focused on Radio Access Network
- Expertise in detailed analysis of 3GPP specifications (Design and Development experience is preferred)
- Expertise in system-level simulations is a must
- Experience with protocol analyzers, test tools such as XCAL, QXDM, Wireshark, QCAT, MA, STT
- Experience in developing system performance, KPI measurement, and Parameter Analysis
- Mobile protocols stack development is a plus (Qualcomm, Intel)
