Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Join our ECOM DEP team as a Solutions Architect and become a key player in shaping the commerce strategy of some of the most renowned brands across various industries, including fashion, health & beauty, hi-tech and more.
In this role, you'll bring your deep subject-matter expertise to the table, working closely with prospective and existing merchants to address challenging technical requirements. We're looking for someone who thrives in managing architectural meetings with a highly technical audience and has a solid understanding of payment processing and checkout concepts. You’ll not only lead pre-sales activities but also empower large existing merchants to grow and succeed on the Shopify platform. You'll be at the forefront of our largest and most complex deals, partnerships and deployments, assisting regional teams across various locations.

What You’ll Do
- Engage with our most strategic and prominent merchants at any point in their Shopify journey from a technical requirements perspective
- Partner with Solutions Engineers and fellow Solutions Architects in conducting requirements discovery, solution presentations and various workshop formats
- Assist the merchant on the technical design of third-party applications or customized solutions extending Shopify’s platform
- Align with PM teams on Shopify’s enterprise product roadmap while sharing feedback on released features and merchant trends
- Being a subject matter expert on Shopify Payments, Payments Platform and Shopify Checkout platform
- Mentor and coach other merchant-facing teams at Shopify on technical aspects of our platform
- Develop reusable assets that illustrate best practices to help upskill merchant-facing teams on Shopify’s platform or relevant industry
What You Have
- Experience with multiple Shopify/BigCommerce implementations
- Expertise in B2B and B2C eCommerce
- Excellent knowledge in project charts, solutions and architecture patterns
- Skills in all Shopify functional modules & technical architecture concepts
- Background in Project Task management (time based/ Event based), internationalization/ localization/ personalization concepts
- A good knowledge of integration with Web content management systems
- Familiarity with commerce concepts like supply chain, warehousing, logistics management, marketing, CRM
- Qualifications in defining solutions in component-based architectures and process/rule-driven solutions
- Capability to control code version and manage conflicts with Git/ SVN
- Extensive experience in Solutions Engineering, Commerce Operations or Payments Operations
- Solid understanding of cloud computing technologies and SaaS fundamentals
- Competency in implementing or working with payment processing solutions: Adyen, Stripe, TSYS, Auth.net, FiPay
- Proficiency in Shopify’s checkout platform and its extensibility frameworks
Nice to have
- Experience with subscriptions (Recharge, Rebuy, Smartrr, etc.)
- Background in other eCommerce platforms and CMS platforms
- Skills in React.js, DevOps, OWASP Top 10, Secure Coding
