We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Lead Data Engineer to take the lead in delivering data engineering excellence for our remote project. Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the design, development, and deployment of data engineering solutions for the project
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define project requirements
- Develop and implement data pipelines using Azure Databricks and Databricks
- Optimize data processing workflows for efficiency and performance
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security throughout the data engineering process
- Monitor and troubleshoot data engineering solutions, addressing any issues or bottlenecks
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior data engineers
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to deliver high-quality data solutions on time and within budget
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant experience
- 1+ years of team leading experience
- Proficiency in Azure Databricks for data processing and analytics
- Extensive experience with Databricks for big data processing and analytics
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure for cloud-based data solutions
- Proficiency in PySpark for data processing and transformation
- Advanced knowledge of SQL for data querying and manipulation
- Intermediate or higher English level, both spoken and written (B1+)
Nice to have
- Familiarity with other cloud platforms and big data technologies
- Certification in data engineering or related fields
