As our Cloud Architect, you will be the go-to expert for all things cloud-related, responsible for designing end-to-end cloud architectures, defining migration strategies, and building robust, scalable, and resilient cloud systems. Responsibilities
- Develop templates to simplify the adoption of cloud platforms by technology teams
- Offer technical guidance on DevOps best practices and support the development of DevOps pipelines
- Conduct research to evaluate new technologies, cloud solutions, and offerings
- Lead technical escalations and drive incidents/problems to resolution, encompassing virtualization, automation, networking, cloud infrastructure, security, and third-party product integration
- Create architectural design documents, requirements, network designs, technology roadmaps, execution plans, and more
- Oversee the rollout of solutions, define monitoring requirements, transition to operations, and automate manual processes
- Collaborate with the Service Operations team on upgrading outdated systems and servers, and plan for future upgrades and maintenance
- Lead performance and load testing initiatives
Requirements
- Azure Architect Professional certification
- 8+ years of relevant work experience
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and deploying cloud architectures on Azure, specifically IaaS and PaaS components
- Strong expertise in Azure API Management, including configuration and in-depth knowledge of the service capabilities
- Proficiency in API development, logging, characteristics, and information
- Experience with application solutions and previous experience as a Tech Lead
- Solid understanding of Software as a Service (SaaS) and a broad range of application architecture approaches
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Nice to have
- Proficiency in programming languages like C# and Java, with object-oriented development experience
- Experience collaborating with Information Security to establish secure development practices
- Familiarity with container management platforms (Mesos, Swarm, Kubernetes) and container runtimes (Docker)
