BI & Data Analytics Support (JA) Description
EPAM Systems offers 24/7 support services for users of a major cloud platform. The support team is distributed across multiple locations. We are hiring a Data Analytics Support Specialist with proven experience in Business Intelligence (BI) and visualization to expand our multi-language team, based in Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive technical support for Cloud Platform Analytics products, solutions and APIs like Looker services, and manage incidents, problem-solving, and change processes as part of a global 24/7 support organization
- Collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, and internal support teams to enhance the product, address and document product bugs and feature requests, and ensure customer success with effective solutions
- Follow notification and escalation procedures, uphold high communication standards with business stakeholders on operational issues, and collaboratively enhance cloud products at a senior level with internal support teams
Requirements
- 3+ years’ experience in a role encompassing software development, data analytics engineering, or a related field
- Knowledgeable in Python, SQL and Big Data architectures and technologies (1TB+) with experience in Business Intelligence (BI) or Data Visualization (Google Looker, Grafana, Tableau, PowerBI, Kibana, Microstrategy)
- Experienced with distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Flink), distributed data stores (e.g., HBase, Cassandra), and message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- Working knowledge of Git repositories
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills capable of managing vast amounts of data (up to exabytes)
- Familiarity with web protocols (HTTP, TLS/SSL, etc.) and a solid understanding of programming and scripting languages including Java, C++, C#, Scala, Python, PHP, and R
- Business-level English skills + native fluency in Japanese
