Responsibilities
- Assess/Evaluate the current state of Python including all current use cases
- Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture on identifying and documenting the scope of Python
- Determine the best approach for creating a modern secure Python Environment
- Including approach to Packaging/Deploying for different platforms (k8s, Servers, workstations – Windows & Mac)
- Collaborate with Security on PyEnv deployment and configuration
- Where does PyEnv sit on the OS, permissions, etc
- System scanning of PyEnv
- Secure approach for managing Python libraries
- Create/Review/Update standards
- Create documentation/wikis
- Review/Evaluate the current tooling
- Create a CI/CD pipeline for Python deployment. ( IN PROGRESS – DevOps has started building a pipeline.)
- Twistlock scanning for python images
- Linting in CI/CD for Python development
- Coverity scanning for Python code
Requirements
- Multiple years of experience in the Technical/Application/Solution Architect roles or similar
- Strong hands-on experience using Python, developing and architecting large-scale products
- Good knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes
- Nice to have skills: Grafana, PyPy, Splunk, Sonar, Twistlock

This posting includes a base salary range EPAM Canada would reasonably expect to pay the selected candidate. Individual compensation offers within the range are based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, experience, credentials, education, training, the demand for the role, skillset, and overall business and local labour market considerations. Most candidates are hired at a salary within the range disclosed. Salary range: CA$145K-CA$190K.
