Responsibilities

  • Monitor, manage, and resolve incidents related to Progressive Deployment (PD) during US business hours
  • Support critical services running on the PD platform, ensuring low Mean Time to Resolve for incidents
  • Collaborate with global teams for seamless handoffs and continuity of service
  • Contribute to building and improving processes and documentation for incident management
  • Perform moderate-level development tasks to support new features or reduce technical debt in the product backlog
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Assist in ensuring operational excellence through testing, monitoring, and alerting

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in software development or support engineering
  • Hands-on experience with incident management in high-availability systems
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and concepts
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages including Java, GoLang, or Python
  • Basic understanding of containerization and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
  • Competency in using AWS technologies such as EC2, ECS, EKS for troubleshooting and operations
  • Understanding of monitoring and alerting tools to ensure service health and availability
  • Ability to analyze logs, debug issues, and provide timely resolutions
  • Proficient in writing and maintaining code for moderate-level features and fixes
  • Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd
  • Experience working with Spinnaker and other CI/CD pipelines
