Senior Data Integration Engineer (EDM) Description
We are looking for an EDM Data Engineer based in Málaga or ready to relocate to Spain. EPAM will provide relocation support to you and your family upon successful interviewing.
We always hire for a career in EPAM, but the initial client for this hire is a leading UK-based hedge fund with aggressive growth aspirations and a challenging delivery agenda. A successful candidate is expected to work from our Málaga office 4 days/week and visit the client in their London office as required.

Responsibilities
- Act as a senior software database developer and data architect for company’s projects
- Perform design, implementation, and unit testing of assigned functionality
- Own assigned work, elaborate implementation details, keeps close coordination with BAs and QAs to deliver result of a high quality
- Participate in a wide range of non-project activities within Databases Competency Center, including knowledge sharing and elaborating best practices according to modern industry trends
- Create and follow personal education plan
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in database development, design and modelling
- Readiness to work from office 4 days/week
- Strong knowledge of SQL language and modern relational database management systems technologies
- Experience with and knowledge of technology stack in use
- MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS
- Markit EDM
- SQL, T-SQL
- Scripting languages
- Strong TDD experience, understanding of the best CI/CD practices, experience with code quality and code review tools, sense of responsibility for the code quality
- Strong UML modelling and design skills
- Strong computer science background
- Ability to implement functionality without supervision and test own work thoroughly using test cases
- Ability to create deliverables in good quality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- English level B2 or higher, ability to read, write, speak and write high-quality unambiguous texts in English
- Ability to read and understand project and requirement documentation, ability to create design technical and project documentation, including documentation describing own code
- Ability to participate in phone conferences, interviews and face-to-face meetings with customers without supervision
- Ability to mentor colleagues in software engineering disciplines
