Lead Java Developer Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Java Developer to join our team and contribute to the reimagining and re-platforming of a legacy application suite into a SaaS-based solution deployed on Oracle Cloud. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside key technology partners and engage in a multi-year program that will reshape how patients interact with their healthcare systems using modern technologies and frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of highly available, high-traffic customer-facing web applications and services
  • Drive the migration automation process and control plan strategies
  • Focus on the development and integration of a personal health record system
  • Expand multi-EHR capabilities internationally in locations such as Germany, Australia, and Canada
  • Design and develop software using Java and, optionally, JavaScript or TypeScript
  • Employ a deep understanding of object-oriented design and SDK development within a cloud environment
  • Write automated tests as per the definition of done
  • Deploy code to development environments using automated pipelines
  • Connect to and debug Kubernetes clusters
  • Ensure compliance with security guidelines on Oracle issued laptops

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Java development
  • 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
  • Expertise in CI/CD, JUnit, and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of scripting languages
  • Background in object-oriented design and SDK development specifically tailored for cloud environments
  • Familiarity with automated test writing practices
  • Competency to deploy code using automated pipelines and to debug in Kubernetes environments
  • Capability to work with Oracle-issued laptops and ensure adherence to security protocols

Nice to have

  • Qualifications in Oracle Cloud technologies
  • Skills in JavaScript or TypeScript
